I a candidate for daVinci Hysterectomy? A: If your doctor recommends hysterectomy, you may be a candidate for a new, less invasive surgical procedure called daVinci Hysterectomy. This procedure uses a state-of-the-art surgical system designed to help your surgeon perform a more precise, minimally invasive procedure. As with any surgery, these benefits cannot be guaranteed, as surgery is patient- and procedure-specific. Q: How do I make an appointment? A: Please call (423) 266-3636 to make an appointment. Your call is very important to us but if you are forwarded to voicemail be reassured ALL calls are returned within 24 hours. Our office hours are 9:00am – 4:30pm Monday through Friday. Q: How do I contact you for an emergency? A: After hour calls to the office (423) 266-3636 will be answered by our 24- hour answering service your call will be returned by the on-call-physician Q: What about refills on my prescriptions? A: Calls regarding prescription refills should be made within office hours to ensure the prescription can be called into the pharmacy. If you call after hours our answering service cannot take your information due to privacy issues. Q: What should I expect on my first visit? A: Please arrive a few minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete our New Patient Form(s). These forms have been provided on our website for your convenience. Your first visit to our office will be a little longer than a normal visit so that the physician can discuss with you your medical history, family history, current medications and symptoms. Q: Is my personal information kept confidential? A: All your medical records and treatment plans with our physicians and staff are strictly confidential. No information is released to anyone without your written consent Q: What about insurance coverage? A: We participate in most commercial insurance plans, including, but not limited to: Blue Cross Blue Shield; Aetna; Healthsource HMO & POS; Cigna; United HealthCare; Private Healthcare Systems; Medicare. Please contact your insurance company/provider handbook to verify if the doctor you are seeing is participating with your insurance company. Q: What if I have been referred to you by my doctor or insurance company? A: If your insurance requires you to have a referral to see a specialist, we request you bring this with you at the time of your visit, or your referring physician may fax or mail your referral to our office. |
