da Vinci Robotic Surgery

view of da Vinci robotic surgey workstationThe da Vinci® Surgical System provides surgeons with an alternative to both traditional open surgery and conventional laparoscopy, putting a surgeon’s hands at the controls of a state-of-the-art robotic platform. The da Vinci system enables surgeons to perform even the most complex and delicate procedures through very small incisions with unmatched precision.

For the patient, benefits may include:

  • Significantly less pain

  • Less blood loss

  •  Less scarring

  •  Shorter recovery time

  •  A faster return to normal daily activities

  •  And in many cases, better clinical outcomes --- Click here to learn more ---

If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with a condition that may require surgery, you owe it to yourself to learn about all of your medical options, including the most effective, least invasive surgical treatments available.  Hear from patients who have benefited from the da Vinci approach to cardiothoracic, gynecologic and urologic surgery.  And hear from surgeons
and hospital administrators who are changing the experience of surgery with the da Vinci Surgical System.

The da Vinci Surgical System is powered by state-of-the-art robotic technology. The System allows your surgeon’s hand
movements to be scaled, filtered and translated into precise movements of micro-instruments within the operative site.  The da Vinci System enhances surgical capabilities by enabling the performance of complex surgeries through tiny surgical openings. The System cannot be programmed, nor can it make decisions on its own.  The da Vinci System requires that every surgical maneuver be performed with direct input from your surgeon.  The da Vinci Surgical System has been successfully used in tens of thousands of minimally invasive procedures worldwide.
